Elise earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at LeTourneau University and her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University Online. She has been working with clients since 2015, and she appreciates working with individuals ranging from adolescence through adulthood (age 12+).
Elise has had the privilege of working within private practices, non-profits, and church counseling centers and has experience with a range of clients—from children, adolescents and young adults to engaged and married couples. Clients have sought Elise’s counsel for mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, domestic abuse, grief, LGBTQ+ concerns, identity work, church wounds, exploring and growing in Christian faith, attachment injuries, and general life transitions (relationship difficulties, loss or change in job, life role changes, etc.).
Through her expertise with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Elise particularly enjoys helping individuals with trauma and relationship pain. Elise has a warm, inviting presence that compliments her honest and direct style. For clients interested in a faith-based approach, she also enjoys employing a biblical worldview lens. Each client is given a custom-made treatment plan that utilizes an integrative approach while incorporating the individual’s personhood and needs.
“My job is to work myself out of a job,” and Elise finds it a great pleasure to walk alongside her clients and help them enjoy this life, no matter what it throws at them.
