Amanda Rang, LPC, received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University and obtained her master’s degree in Counseling at Houston Baptist University. Amanda has had the privilege of working for five years in a church setting, where she has helped clients with a variety of issues and specialized in working with adolescents and women in building self-confidence, discovering and embracing their identity, and creating a purposeful, whole-hearted life. She is also passionate about assisting individuals with depression, anxiety, interpersonal conflict, grief, church wounds, spiritual issues, general life transitions and trauma. Amanda is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is a research-based method used to treat trauma and other distressing life experiences. Stylistically, Amanda loves to create a space where clients feel cared for, and she believes that counseling should be a collaborative process where clients feel heard as well as guided. Ultimately, the therapeutic process will be tailored to the person’s specific needs with the goal of creating an environment that fosters the growth of the person.
